Teacher education study programs discussed together
The “Quality Dialogue 2022 – Teacher Education” took place on Wednesday, 08 June 2022.
Around 150 participants discussed various topics from the Accreditation Council’s handout “Promoting quality development through accreditation – a look at teacher education study programs” with the speakers and in two parallel panel sessions.
The handout for teacher education study programs is currently being revised, taking into account the feedback from the participants. Once the revised handout has been adopted by the Accreditation Council, it will be published again on the Accreditation Council’s website

The 2023 Quality Dialogue (make a note of June 26, 2023) will be dedicated to the topic of “Diversity”.
Nominations are requested
This year, the Accreditation Council will award the
“Prize for Quality Development” for the third time.
For the first time, the award will be presented not only for an application for program accreditation, but also for an application for system accreditation.
The Accreditation Council invites higher education institutions and experts of accreditation procedures to submit nominations for the “Award for Quality Development” by the
22 July 2022.

113th meeting of the Accreditation Council
On 09/10 September 2022, the Accreditation Council met – again virtually – for its 113th meeting and came to the following conclusions, among others:
It welcomes the fact that on-site inspections in accreditation procedures are largely being returned to. It has decided that from the summer semester 2023 onwards, on-site inspections will once again take place as a rule.
